Frontenac Outfitters has since grown to become one of Canada's largest, most respected, full-service Paddlesports shops. Our Lake Front Location:

The Frontenac Outfitters Canoe & Kayak Centre is centrally located about half way between Toronto and Montreal, about 1.5 to 2 hours from Ottawa, about a 1/2 hour drive north of Kingston, and is only 1 hour from the 1000 Islands Bridge crossing to New York State.

Our On-Water Canoe & Kayak Centre is perfectly situated beside Frontenac Provincial Park, Ontario's southernmost wilderness park where you can explore 15,000 acres, 22 Lakes and 160 kilometers of hiking trails. This beautiful park is a great destination for nature lovers, hikers, campers, and, of course, paddle sport enthusiasts. So, if you can, come visit us, and then spend some time and make some memories by visiting Frontenac Park too! Don't forget to bring a camera.

As enthusiastic matchmakers, we are constantly searching the globe for the best models to suit our customers' needs. We carefully select each model from every manufacturer only after extensive first hand paddling and research.

Canoe & Kayak Rentals, Courses, Clinics:

Paddling is a life skill for mind, body and soul. It is the perfect activity to be enjoyed by all ages and physical abilities. To compliment on-water sales and further expand your skills, we offer a complete range of canoe and kayak rentals, kayak courses, kayak clinics, and kayak tours. We hope everyone who passes through our paddle sports centre leaves with a greater understanding and appreciation towards the wonderful sport that we share.

Paddling Gear Sales:

How do you choose the right kayak and canoe gear for your unique fit? Our staff are all experienced paddlers who are happy to help you select what you need and explain how it works. Then, only at Frontenac Outfitters, just as with our boats, you can go and paddle with it to make sure the fit is perfect.

We stock a massive selection of the latest and greatest gear, all of which can be tried before you purchase. It just doesn't get better than that! You can't do that at a downtown sporting goods shop, can you? And they don't have our selection, expertise, or low prices.

Campsites:

Our own waterfront and wooded campsites are available to enhance your stay with us. A FREE night's stay is available to those who purchase kayaks or canoes. Then feel free to explore Frontenac Park, Ontario's southernmost wilderness park and a UNESCO world biosphere reserve.

About the Owners, Larry and Christine:

Paddling is our obsession. We don't just sell canoes and kayaks, we paddle them too. Our love for the sport has taken us on paddle expeditions around the world including Australia's Gold Coast, New Zealand fjords, the outer islands of Belize, the Caribbean's uninhabited Cays, Florida's Everglades and Keys, British Columbia's rugged coast, as well as Ontario lakes and river systems.
